Profile
The Workshop idea was established in 2004 by a small group of audiophiles, an audio engineer, and a few jewellers and a handful of guys in the metals industry. All these people had one common ground, and that was they enjoyed barbeques, music, and music reproduction. Unhappy and frustrated with marked-up inferior brass and so called gold and silver plating, this small dedicated group has put quality and performance ahead of marketing and advertising hype so typical of the larger companies. Now we are public and our products are available directly to you. We are expanding also from our own product range with reputable Brands that we have personally tested. Stay tuned to see this exciting progress.

99.99% Solid Silver RCA Jacks $92pair AUD

The difference between a gold plated brass and solid silver or copper RCA is the fact that there is a remarkable difference in sound quality. This is due primarily to the fact that electrons behave more uniformly with one metal rather than kaotic behaviors dealing with two or more metals. We have found silver to be the best all rounder metal over solid gold which is too soft and expensive (though available on special order), and copper which has less conductivity than silver though still very good indeed. The reason we are mentioning these facts is to provide better products than what you may be using now, and at workshop prices. Extensive listening tests in our own high end audio systems conclude that a solid pure metal connector does increase the sonic values at the weakest point in the "interconnect / wire / equipment relationship" View more images

Fundamentally, speakers in particular - are really the sum of all parts, and requires a lot of  dedicated time in research and labour. We are first to put out hands up to say that we can't build speakers, but we can help you build better speakers by supplying our speaker binding posts of solid Copper, Silver or Gold. We have built these solid pure silver posts in aid of keeping the audio chain as uniform and as clean as possible. View more images

99.99% Solid Silver XLR pins ( a non - compromise design. Requires no soldering ) $50 AUD(set of 6)

Have you tried to find an XLR plug with solid silver pins? and at a reasonable price.
We still can't find one, so now we make them. Keep your existing XLR connectors and replace your normal pins with our custom design pure silver pins. The silver pins have a 1mm drilled hole through the cross section to accommodate in particular solid wire. Once the wire has been threaded through, it can be bent or curved right around the pin and this avoids the need for messy solder.
There is no doubt that the implementation of our solid silver pins in your XLR will out perform any XLR pin on the market. If you are currently using multi-stranded cable, then we suggest using our regular pin to enable soldering. (these pins are the same high purity solid silver as our solderless design but more universal). (6 pins per package) View more images
