On the surface of its brass sleeve is treated by hard chromate plating like quality cameras. In addition, we employed phosphor bronze contact pin. And we applyed our new combination of platinum + rhodium plating for our original RCA plug.This combination sets you the new standard of sound for audiophile. Furthermore, all fine parts are shaped by highly accurate CNC routing machine.
The collet chuck clamping function
The collet chuck clamping function is employed for “GENESIS”. Although an existing collet chuck RCA plug is tightened by rotating its whole sleeve, GENESIS is tightened by its independent rocking sleeve. Herewith we succeeded to minimize the gap in between its body and sleeve and attenuate resonance which has been a problem for existing collet check structure.
Body
The high-viscosity greas is coated on the screw part of rocking sleeve and body. Due to its high-viscosity, it actualizes to prevent looseness and damp unnecessary vibrations. In addition, each screw thread of the rocking sleeve and end cap has different pitch and oposite screw turn for tightness.
Usability
Its collet chuck rocking sleeve is placed on the lower middle of the sleeve. So, it is easy to turn it even if it is under the situation where it seems to be hard to rotate
Originality
One-touch push-pull function is the entirely-new locking system. You can lock Just by inserting FOCUS 1 into the inlet and unlock by pulling the tip ring. Ball bearing system, manufactured by ultraprecision machining, is employed for its locking mechanism. These functions deliver smooth and absolute plug connection.
In addition, an innovative idea is utilized for the contact of FOCUS1.
The No.1 contact pin (earth) is 3mm longer than other pins, so that it contacts fast for the purpose of protection from POP noise at the moment of connection.
Furthermore, bladed cable clump is employed for cable fixture. By applying this clumping system, it is possible to connect chassis ground and stabilize cable simultaneously.
Material
The contact pins of FOCUS 1 are made from phosphor bronze bar which is precisely shaped by CNC machining. After careful machine barreling, silver (inner) and rhodium (outer) are directly plated on them. Then, these pins are molded into highly rigid 30% glass filled PBT which insures high-speed vibration attenuation.
The body and housing, processed by CNC machining, are high-density and have high shielding performance compared to an existing lost-wax processed body. For its surface treatment, hard chrome plating is coated like a body of camera.
Usability
Due to its 12mm install cable O.D. (when cable bushing is removed), it gives infinite possibility to do-it-yourselfers. And its tapered insertion hole makes cable installation easier and avoids from cable disconnection by bending.
Furthermore, a rubber ring which is installed at the junction of the body and housing acts as vibration damper and loosening protector.
Appearance designing
The design of FOCUS 1 is inspired by an appearance of lens on a camera which projects subtle and exquisite image.
For the identification of channel L and R, the SWAROVSKI rhinestones, blue and red, are enchased on the surface of its body.The beauty of its body design and a brilliance of SWAROVSKI enhance the appeal of this product and produce a sense of expectancy
The Atlas Z plug has stood the test of time. Using beryllium copper for the contact area, It's designed to make a 100% contact within the 4mm female socket. The body is made from copper and it's available for home assembly with grub screws to make contact with the conductors. When factory fitted or fitted by an Atlas appointed custom cable centre, they're cold welded under pressure in order to amalgamate the conductors to the plug in an air tight seal. The outer sleeve is finished in black coloured ABS or in a turned brass with a fine oven applied powder coat finish. The Atlas Z plug is justifiably considered to be one of best 4mm plugs available.
