A DIY performace power cable with excellent results. Will outperform nearly anything commercial$$$$$

The Cable is 14mm thick. Cut the exterior to expose the insulate layering

Once the layering is removed there is a high quality copper shielding

If you are working at the IEC end, then trim the shielding and the drain wire

Only expose enough bare wire necessary to feed into the Oyaide IEC plug

Each of the 3 wires are actually 2.6mm. my rule may not have been calibrated

Before you start putting that IEC on, don't forget the actual case

At the AC end of the cable, I have cut away a small section of the Earth wire

It is imperitive to solder the drain wire to the Earth wire to ensure it will not move

Each wire is 2.6mm so you will have to file a little at the AC plug end. There is also available a 2.0mm which would also suite or the Oyaide PA-23 cables, but because I have very thirsty AC amps I went for the thicker cable.

Lets be safe and sure.Mark the positive part of the plug with a marker pen.

I would reherse a couple of times to feel comfortable with what wire goes where!

Good old aussie plugs, we all need sofening. Plonk into boiling water for 2 mins. US and Euro plugs - just buy the plug and attached wires as with the IEC end

This is a solid connection as the Oyaide can faciliate heavy duty wire with ease.
If you are not comfortable making your own power cord, please ask a qualified electrician for advise & to test your project. The Audiophile Workshop take no responsibility for injury or any similar claims and reccomends that these are illutrative pictures not instructions.

Once the plug is slid on when hot, be sure to bend it back to hook over the front lip. When plug cools down there is a very nice tight seal. Make sure you dry the plug from the hot water - condensation is still conductive.

There you have it, each cable took me 30 mins. This is a serious power cord that I made a few months ago. I was a little scepical at first on power cables, but please let me assure you this;-when make this cable and implement through out your audio system , you will be very surprised as I was to hear the improvement in sound quality.
In particular I noticed that macro information came through more, soundstage depth and dynamics were all greatly improved. I can only recommend to others actual products and projects that I have personally tried.
