This is an ultra pure single crystal copper originally developed by Professor Ohno. It was then further evolved into PCOCC utilizing a single copper grain wire. This design results in an extremely low level of signal disturbance and loss factor due to the lack of crystalline borders in the signal path. Oyaide have further evolved this technology with a highly controlled heating and cooling process and improved surface management to realize mirror finish. It is now called PCOCC-A and it is the epitone of Japanese craftsmanship.

Under the same concept of TUNAMI, TUNAMI TERZO is produced as an interconnect cable without changeing basic structure and materials.

The basic architecture of TUNAMI TERZO is 2P parallel layout. And its exterior is elegant pearl white color. The PCOCC-A conductor has 1.25sq cross-sectional area which enables high-power signal transmission.

The multi-layered shielding structure is newly employed for TUNAMI TERZO for better noise protection.

TUNAMI TERZO XX is equipped with the original premium XLR plug, FOCUS 1, which features one-touch push-pull function.

The appearance of TUNAMI TERZO made us enable to present total TUNAMI wiring system in combination with other TUNAMI series.

From the sound of TUNAMI TERZO, you can feel wider range and sound stage, sound energy density, and higher resolution.

The Atlas Navigator All Cu (all copper) uses deletion free OCC for both the going and the return conductors and employs a PTFE dielectric together with a cotton yarn filler in order to reduce microphony.

100% rejection of radio frequency interference (RFI) is provided by an OCC braid and a copper mylar shield.

The Navigator is a superior design that is used here for fully balanced systems with Atlas' own design and exclusive audiophile All Cu (all copper) solderless XLR plugs. The copper plug is cold welded or crimped on to the conductors with an air tight seal that avoids the use of solder. Solder presents an unecessary barrier to the signal and at Atlas we believe the finest qualities result from the removal of barriers to the signal such as the use of solder or materials of differing characteristics from the signal carrying conductors, hence the OCC or All Cu plug; it provides more deletion free information.

The Navigator XLR compliments the range of Atlas super interconnects for high quality balanced systems. XLR to XLR Cu 1.75m $800 pair

Atlas Mavros wins high praise.

Hi Fi news were impressed with the Mavros interconnect and speaker cable. They said:

Naturally, Atlas recommends the use of its Mavros interconnects with its Mavros speaker cable. With both in place the system took on a whole new dimension, offering greater space, depth, dynamics and fluidity. These new Mavros cables from Atlas have the uncanny ability to sound fast yet relaxed, detailed yet refined, fluid yet composed. If they were a wine they would be a Brunello di Montalcino. Enjoy!

I am still convinced that there is regardless of the price category, no audio component that (can) boast the satus of the best one, but if there is a combination of the interconnect and the loudspeaker cable which I may recommend without any reservations whatsoever for any system at all - then it would be this one. Does that mean it is also the best? See for yourself.

The Mavros interconnect uses a new microporous PTFE dielectric together with OCC copper conductors which are manufactured using the highest-quality technique for drawing copper. "Ohno Continuous Casting" or OCC has one grain in about 700 feet of conductor, so the audio signal travels through a continuous conductor instead of traversing signal deleting grain boundaries. The copper itself is of the highest purity; 6N or 99.9999% pure.

The new dielectric with a dielectric constant of 1.3 to 1.5 improves on ordinary PTFE which has a dielectric constant of 2.1, and thereby provides higher velocity of propagation values that typically range from a staggering 72% to 85%. increase in signal velocity. That speed provides better integrity particulaly in the area of high frequency delivery.

The new Mavros interconnect was designed to be technically and sonically superior to other interconnect cables currently available.

The Atlas cable hallmarks of spaciousness, width, height and depth together with precise image focus and instrument separation are immediately evident. The new Hyper interconnect distinguishes itself with sound that reveals a transparency and hiterto unheard ambience and timbre.

UHF Magazine in Canada said:

After the pauline Viardot song, Reine pronounced herself delighted, praising whetever this cable turned out to be without reservation (blind test). So did Albert, who however reached for more adjectives."It's beautiful, it's moving, the detail is refined. There's a beautiful balance with the piano, which is warm and limpid." Would this cable turn out to be better than our reference? We had more to come. The Margie Gibson recording confirmed the superiority of this cable. "It's magnificent," exclaimes Reine, "her voice is even more detailed. What a surprise." Albert agreed. "And it's not as though it were an easy recording.," he said. "Everything is well positioned in space, timbres are natural, the voice is clear. Everything is there, it's alive.

What Hi Fi said

Accomplishment and refinement are the key words here. With expensive kit, the Mavros works miracles.

Atlas stunned the industry with the introduction of what is probably the highest performance interconnect and speaker cable available at it's price; a cable researched, designed and developed in Scotland by Atlas (Scotland) Ltd. The Atlas Mavros.

That was just the beginning, we're now proud to reveal the extraordinary Atlas Asimi interconnect. Building on the work that led to the Mavros design, the Asimi adopts the same World-leading construction, but with the added benefits of pure silver conductors, manufactured using the highest-quality technique for drawing pure silver. "Ohno Continuous Cast" or OCC, used in the manufacture of high quality Atlas copper cables, increases conductivity of the material, in this case pure silver, by ensuring that there is less than one grain or signal deleting crystal boundary in about 700 feet of conductor! OCC silver allows the signal to travel through a continuous conductor instead os traversing repeated grain boundaries - in other words, the signal has a faster, cleaner and more direct path to follow.

Our attention was once again focussed on the coating that insulates and protects the silver. The Asimi has these conductors enveloped in our new microporous Teflon dielectric. This new air spaced foam improves on the performance of the best solid teflon or PTFE insulators, by providing a 30% greater signal velocity and better integrity, particularly in the area of high frequency delivery. This is achieved because the new material has a dielectric constant of around 1.5 - significantly better than the 2.1 achieved by the more typical PTFE insulators which up to now were the best available in Hi Fi or audio visual applications.

The Asimi interconnect is supplied terminated with the Atlas OCC solder free XLR connectors. The construction of the Asimi silver interconnect cable consists of a pair of conductors, each made up from six bundles of 12 mult conductor wires plus a thicker wire in the centre. Each bundle of conductors is insulated with a layer of microporous Teflon and surrounded by a FPE (Mylar) jacket which in turn is covered by a continuous Copper-Mylar electrostatic screen and a silver plated copper close weave shielding braid ensuring the minimal pick up of RF interference and noise. The outer sheath is made from hard wearing PVC covered by a decorative silver/white woven cotton.

The Asimi interconnect cable is designed to be 'invisible' - delivering performance comparable to no direct connection of the signal. The Asimi is an outstanding product, designed by Atlas to reveal the entire content of the recording. In listening tests, the results are surprising; the Asimi introduces an air and ambience of sound hitherto hidden.
